CAR T cell therapy is an advanced therapy available for relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) patients, as well as those with adult B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
CAR T cell therapy works by modifying a patient’s T cells to attack leukemia cells. Because the treatment is highly specific to the individual, and requires access to advanced technology and training, patients who undergo CAR T cell therapy typically have to qualify under very specific conditions, and then will travel to one of the few facilities that can perform it.
